Foundations in Center-based Care (30 Hours)

Foundations in Center-based Care (30 Hours) This is a newly expanded (from 6 to 30 hours) MRTQ on-line training for beginning center-based child care professionals. This course covers the basics of working in a center-based child care setting. Building relationships with families, understanding health and safety requirements, and professional development are some of the topics covered. The training is meant to be an orientation and is geared toward professionals who are fairly new to center-based care. Because every setting is unique, with its own philosophies, program characteristics and policies, much of the work in these modules will require students to work with a supervisor or center director to complete the training. This training is only available in a web-based version.
