Quality for ME — Maine’s Quality Rating System (QRS)
This is a voluntary four-step system which awards early care and education providers with a rating based on standards for each type of care (family child care, center based, Head Start, and school aged). RDC staff are available to answer your questions or assist you in enrolling in Quality for ME and can provide technical assistance and consultation to move up in the quality system.
Early care and education providers who accept vouchers through the Child Care Subsidy Program, must either be enrolled in Quality for ME or must have received a state approved waiver.
