Beginning on April 1, 2012, due to significant fiscal and structural changes, we will provide Resource and Referral Services through the Office of Child and Family Services in Augusta and not through the 8 regional Resource Development Centers. The following details how families and providers can access information as it relates to Child Care Services after April 1, 2012:
Families:
For any family seeking information on Child Care, they can access this in 2 ways:
- Online at http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ocfs/ec/occhs/infoparents.htm
- Through our toll free line at 1-877-680-5866
Providers:
For providers needing assistance with the Quality for ME system, they can access this in various ways:
- Online at http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ocfs/ec/occhs/qualityforme.htm
- By calling our office at (207)624-7909
- By contacting Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) online at http://muskie.usm.maine.edu/maineroads/contact.htm or 1-888-900-0055
In addition, for Early Care and School Age providers seeking training and professional development assistance after April 1, 2012, the Office of Child and Family Services has asked Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) to deliver required trainings in a way that ensures continued access throughout the State of Maine. After April 1, 2012 for any individual looking for training and professional development information, please contact Maine Roads to Quality, 1-888-900-0055 or http://muskie.usm.maine.edu/maineroads/.
As we transition through the changes based on this decision, we appreciate your patience, understanding and continued efforts to support all children in Early Care, Education and School Age settings. Please don’t hesitate to contat me with any questions at (207)624-7957.
Respectfully,
Therese Cahill-Low
Director
